Descriptive sheet CITILPEA
Description
Food supplement containing citicoline, palmitoylethanolamide, vitamins and zinc.
Citicoline is a molecule present in the body and a precursor to the endogenous synthesis of phospholipids in nerve cell membranes. It also participates in the maturation of visual functions; it is used by nerve cells to synthesize acetylcholine, which is essential for the propagation of visual signals, improving the transmission of electrical impulses from the retina to the brain.
Exogenous intake is useful for the structural integrity of neuronal membranes and for the functionality of nerve cells.
Palmitoylethanolamide (PEA) is a substance produced by cells. It is a biological modulator that protects cells and tissues from potential damage, restores their balance, and contributes to repair processes. It has an adjuvant effect when administered simultaneously with topical hypotensive agents.
Vitamin B6 contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system. It also contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue and to the regulation of hormonal activity.
Vitamin E contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.
Vitamin C contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress and to the normal functioning of the nervous system.
Thiamine (vitamin B1) contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system.
Riboflavin (vitamin B2) contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system, to the maintenance of normal vision and to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.
Zinc contributes to the maintenance of vision and to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.
It also contributes to normal cognitive function, the metabolism of fatty acids and macronutrients, and normal DNA synthesis.
