Descriptive sheet MUCOSAMIN MOUTHWASH
Adjuvant in the regenerative process of the oral mucosa.
Mucosamin mouthwash is a medical device primarily designed to protect the oral mucosa, manufactured in compliance with Directive 93/42/EEC MDD. The product contains hyaluronic acid, a major component of connective tissue, and amino acids designed to promote collagen formation.
Mucosamin mouthwash, through the protective action of its components, is intended to assist the regenerative process of the oral mucosa, promoting rapid healing of ulcerated areas and simultaneously reducing pain. Due to its properties, Mucosamin mouthwash is specifically used in conjunction with the initiation of radiotherapy or chemotherapy to reduce the incidence of mucositis, in the treatment of mucositis caused by radiotherapy and chemotherapy, in ulcerative diseases of the oral cavity (e.g., pemphigus, pemphigoid, erosive lichenplanus), in recurrent aphthous stomatitis, following surgical procedures on the tongue and oral mucosa, and in burning mouth syndrome.
It is a solution that can be used to hydrate the oral mucosa on which it has a protective action.
It relieves irritation of the oral cavity, usually caused by mucositis.
It reduces sensitivity to external attacks by assisting the repair process of the oral tissues while promoting the maintenance and restoration of physiological conditions.
Oral lesions are characterized by erythema and recurrent mucosal ulcers with burning pain of varying severity. Severe forms of mucositis have a significant impact on quality of life and can compromise the ability to tolerate the planned treatment plan. Oral mucositis induced by radiotherapy or chemotherapy is a common side effect in cancer patients. Mucosal damage develops through an initiation phase followed by a phase of damage amplification: the outcome is a phase of ulceration followed, at varying times, by a phase of tissue repair.
Mucosamin mouthwash, due to its moisturizing and protective properties of the oral mucosa, is indicated in conjunction with the initiation of radiological or chemotherapy therapy to reduce the incidence of mucositis. In the treatment of oral lesions of various etiologies, Mucosamin mouthwash forms a film that coats and protects the ulcerated mucosa, promoting a more rapid reduction in pain and burning. Hyaluronic acid and amino acids then intervene in the regenerative phase of mucositis and promote the repair of the oral mucosa.
After cleansing your mouth, rinse your entire mouth and the affected area with water. It's always a good idea to follow a diet free of acidic or spicy foods.
