Fortiral
DescriptionHigh-protein food for special medical purposes, consisting of undenatured, high biological value whey proteins (PD18PR). The intake of high biological value whey proteins is particularly useful in the dietary management of individuals with loss of skeletal muscle mass (sarcopenia) due to malnutrition, aging, or chronic diseases. Sarcopenia can occur following oncological diseases, chemotherapy or radiation treatments, immunological diseases, dialysis, neurodegenerative diseases (Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), and pre- and post-surgery.

How to use
It is recommended to take 1 or 2 sachets per day. Place 1 or 2 sachets of soluble Fortiral in a glass. Add 150 to 200 ml of water or any other beverage (milk, tea), provided it is cold or at room temperature. Stir briefly (without using a blender) and drink immediately. Given its solubility, it is permissible to administer 1-2 sachets of Fortiral diluted in 500–1,000 ml of water, based on the patient's calculated water and protein needs, via nasogastric tube and/or PEG, as determined by the physician.
Warnings
The minimum shelf life refers to the product in its intact packaging and stored correctly. Keep out of reach of children under 3 years of age.
Use under medical supervision. This product should not be used as a sole source of nutrition.
