CDP-choline (Cytidinediphosphocholine or Citicoline) is a molecule present in the body. It is physiologically used as a precursor in the endogenous synthesis of nerve cell membrane phospholipids, as well as participating in the maturation processes of visual function. CDP-choline is also used by nerve cells for the synthesis of acetylcholine, which is essential for the propagation of visual signals.
