Its formula is based on the extract of zanthoxylum bungeanum (Sichuan pepper), a plant widely used in traditional Chinese medicine for its pain-relieving and soothing properties.
Its active ingredient is alpha-hydroxy-sanshool, a vanilloid substance with a pungent aroma, which has the property of acting on sensory nerve endings, reducing itching, sensations of discomfort and the urge to scratch.
The anti-itch action of Sichuan pepper is enhanced by other natural substances present in the product, such as camphor and menthol, which have a refreshing and calming effect.
Scabiacid cosmetic also contains chlorhexidine, a well-known and appreciated antibacterial that has the ability to be retained by the skin even after rinsing, thus being able to perform a very useful preventative antibacterial action on small skin lesions caused by scratching.
How to use
It can be used both as a shower gel, applying it directly to wet skin, massaging and then rinsing, or as a bubble bath, dispersing it in the bathtub.
