What is it and what is it for?
GALENICA SENESE WATER FOR INJECTIONS contains sterile, non-microorganism-contaminated (pyrogenic) water, which is used to dissolve, dilute, and deliver other medications to be administered by injection. GALENICA SENESE WATER FOR INJECTIONS is indicated for the preparation of solutions of medications for injection.
What you need to know before taking the medicine
Do not use WATER FOR INJECTABLE PREPARATIONS GALENICA SENESE
in all those conditions for which you must not use the medicine(s) dissolved, diluted or conveyed in WATER FOR INJECTIONS GALENICA SENESE
Warnings and precautions
Talk to your doctor, pharmacist or nurse before using GALENICA SENESE WATER FOR INJECTIONS
Use this medicine immediately after opening the container, after making sure that the solution is clear, colourless and free from visible particles, and in one go, discarding any unused portion.
If you use GALENICA SENESE WATER FOR INJECTIONS continuously, you may experience excessive accumulation of water (water overload), congestion (congestive state), reduction of salt levels in the blood and, if you do not add potassium to the solution, reduction of potassium levels in the blood (hypokalaemia) (See paragraph: “4. Possible side effects”).
Possible side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
The following side effects may occur:
- excessive accumulation of water in the body (water overload);
- congestion (congestive state);
- reduction in body levels of salts (electrolytes).
These effects may occur if you continuously use GALENICA SENESE WATER FOR INJECTIONS.
GALENICA SENESE WATER FOR INJECTIONS can be used to dissolve, dilute and deliver other medicines, therefore side effects due to the use of these medicines may occur.
