What is it and what is it used for?
Antimicotico Same is a cream applied to the skin that contains the active ingredient clotrimazole, an antifungal agent active against fungi and bacteria. Antimicotico Same is indicated for:
• in all skin infections caused by fungi and yeasts: these can be located between the toes (athlete's foot-tinea pedis), in hairless areas (tinea corporis), in the groin area (tinea inguinalis-eczema marginatum of Hebra), or may present irregular spots (pityriasis versicolor);
• in skin infections such as primary pyoderma and erythrasma (pink-brown scaly patches on the skin);
• for the preventive and curative purposes of overlapping skin infections caused by yeasts (saccharomyces) and Gram-positive bacteria.
Talk to your doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse after 3-4 weeks.
What you need to know before taking the medicine
Do not use Antifungal Same
• if you are allergic to clotrimazole or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).
Warnings and precautions
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Antimicotico Same.
• Use, especially if prolonged, of products applied to the skin may give rise to sensitization phenomena (allergy to one or more components). In this case, discontinue treatment and consult your doctor (see section 4 “Possible side effects”).
• Use Antimicotico Same under the direct supervision of your doctor if you have a very extensive infection.
• Consult your doctor if you have already suffered from these problems in the past (relapses of mycosis) and if after 3-4 weeks of continuous use you do not observe appreciable results.
• Avoid contact of the medicine with the eyes.
Children
In very early infancy, the product should be administered under the direct supervision of a doctor. In diaper rash, the use of non-breathable (occlusive) diapers after applying the cream is not recommended.
Possible side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
The application of Antimicotico Same to the skin does not result in absorption, therefore the hypothesis of effects on the organism is highly unlikely.
During the use of Antimicotico Same, local intolerance reactions such as irritation, burning and itching sensations, allergic contact dermatitis may rarely occur.
Following the instructions in the package leaflet reduces the risk of side effects.
