Description
Food supplement with potassium citrate-based sweeteners.
Particularly helpful in subjects undergoing intense fluid loss, such as heavy sweating, diuresis or diarrhea, or in patients undergoing treatment with drugs such as diuretics, laxatives or cortisone.
It is also particularly useful for those who perform intense sporting activity, as it not only provides an adequate amount of readily absorbable potassium, but also provides it in an alkaline form, through citrate.
This alkalizing action helps to neutralize lactic acid at the muscular level and allows it to flow more easily through the bloodstream.
This reduces the risk of cramps and muscle soreness.

How to use
Dissolve a BIOKCIT sachet in half a glass of water to prepare a pleasant citrus-flavored drink.
We recommend taking one sachet of BIOKCIT per day for adequate mineral supplementation.
For other indications (prevention of kidney stones), follow the doctor's prescription.

Warnings
Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
Keep out of reach of children under 3 years of age.
Supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied diet.
BIOKCIT is contraindicated in patients with hyperkalemia or hypermagnesemia, or conditions that may predispose to the onset of these plasma alterations. These conditions include chronic renal failure and uncontrolled diabetes mellitus.
Concomitant use of BIOKCIT and potassium-sparing drugs (triamterene, spironolactone, amiloride) may cause hyperkalemia. Monitoring potassium levels is therefore recommended.
There are no known interactions with other drugs.
Rarely, mild gastrointestinal disturbances may develop during treatment, such as abdominal heaviness, nausea, and occasionally diarrhea. The tablet formulation may be particularly suitable for these individuals.
