SOMNOLIS ANTI-SNORING BITE 1 PIECE

Description
Intraoral medical device that requires regular monitoring of the dentition.
Somnolis moves the jaw forward a few millimeters to free the back of the tongue and allow inhaled air to pass through. This action reduces snoring, ensuring restful sleep.

How to use
The kit includes 4 adjustable elastic straps numbered 0, 2, 4 and 6. This number represents the advancement in mm of the lower jaw compared to the normal position without braces.
Depending on the dental morphology, the actual value of the advancement may vary.
Tape #0 is the weakest, while tape #6 is the strongest.
Try tape #2 first. If necessary, replace the tape based on the following criteria:
- if the jaw traction is excessive, uncomfortable or if the Somnolis does not stay in the mouth, use a lower value tape (for example 2 instead of 4);
- if snoring is not reduced sufficiently, use a higher value tape (for example 4 instead of 2).
Depending on the morphology of the teeth, the device may not fit the mouth, even by changing the tape, in which case it is unusable.

Maintenance
In the morning, remove the Somnolis, rinse it, and store it in a glass of warm water with a denture-specific tartar remover tablet for the rest of the day. Rinse with clean water before reusing.
It is essential to replace the appliance if there are cracks, breaks or deterioration of the material.
At the end of its life cycle, throw the appliance in the garbage.

Warnings
If you have any concerns about the health of your teeth or jaw, we recommend consulting your dentist before use.
If you experience daytime fatigue, you may be suffering from sleep apnea; in this case, it's essential to consult your doctor for a complete check-up.
Monitor the teeth and jaw daily and discontinue use of the device immediately:
- if the lower jaw does not return to its original position after removing the Somnolis;
- if you notice any shifting or movement of your teeth;
- if signs of allergy, irritation, numbness, tingling or redness occur.
For regular, continuous use (every night) and over a prolonged period of time, we recommend the use of a custom-made mandibular advancement bite made using dental impressions such as SOMNOFIT, SOMNOFIT-S or SOMNOFIT-PRO.
In case of serious accident, contact the manufacturer or the competent authority.
Possible side effects:
- tooth sensitivity;
- pain in the front of the ear: with regular use of the device, the symptom usually subsides within a few days;
- hypersalivation which tends to reduce after a few days of regular use, dry mouth, possible sensation of nausea observed very rarely (destined to disappear within a short time);
- the device opens the mouth slightly. This effect wears off after a few nights;
- Somnolis material complies with safety and biocompatibility standards and may have a particular taste during the first few nights.
If any bothersome side effects persist, discontinue use. After discontinuing use, if symptoms persist, consult a doctor.
