Descriptive sheet LUJA
CATHETER
Description
Luja and Luja Pocket Men are flexible-bodied urinary catheters for intermittent catheterization in men. They are self-lubricating, sterile, disposable, and measure 44 cm. Luja and Luja Pocket Men are compact because they are easily transportable and can be disposed of discreetly.
Luja and Luja Pocket Men's are the first and only catheters made with Micro-Hole Zone Technology, micro-holes located 6 cm from the tip of the catheter, replacing the two traditional holes found in standard catheters. Luja's micro-holes ensure complete bladder emptying in a single, uninterrupted stream and reduce the risk of urinary tract infections caused by bladder microtrauma.
All Luja catheters are ready to use and made with Triple Action Coating Technology which ensures uniform distribution of the lubricant, free of dry spots and a reduction in the risk of contracting urinary tract infections caused by urethral microtrauma.
Luja and Luja Pocket Men's catheters guarantee no-touch insertion: they are entirely covered in a dry protective sleeve, which provides protection from possible external contamination during insertion (e.g., contact with the user's hands or other foreign bodies). The catheters are already immersed in sterile saline to activate the lubricating coating. The lubricating liquid is inserted between the catheter and the protective sleeve, allowing the catheter to be manipulated without coming into contact with the liquid.
Luja and Luja Pocket Men's catheters have a flexible Nelaton tip that facilitates passage through the sphincter and urethra, and a universal connector for connection to a urine collection bag. In their primary packaging, Luja and Luja Pocket Men's catheters are presented as a closed circuit, as the ends of the catheter are screwed together. This makes the catheters impermeable to bacteria.
Both primary packaging options are designed to ensure maximum discretion in terms of portability and disposal. Specifically, the primary packaging for Luja Pocket Men is pocket-sized, and therefore smaller in size, for even greater discretion and convenience.
The primary packaging of the two catheters ensures product sterility and, when closed, provides a sterile barrier for the device. After use, the catheter can be reinserted for discreet and hygienic disposal.
Luja and Luja Pocket are sterile, disposable, self-lubricating urinary catheters for intermittent catheterization. Both catheters are designed to connect to urine collection bags. Luja and Luja Pocket are indicated for urinary retention. They are simple, quick, and painless to use, making them ideal for those who have a permanent or temporary need for this type of aid. They are particularly suitable for people who lead active lives, work, or study.
