Description
Powder for extemporaneous oral suspension.
A medical device based on diosmectite and electrolytes in sachets for extemporaneous oral suspension. It is indicated for the oral treatment of acute and chronic diarrhea and the painful symptoms of gastrointestinal disorders. It is also indicated for the prophylaxis of diarrhea following radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
Components
One sachet of powder contains diosmectite 3 g, sodium chloride 0.263 g, potassium chloride 0.0373 g, anhydrous tripotassium citrate 0.162 g, trisodium citrate 0.147 g, glucose (anhydrous dextrose 1.982 g; excipients: partially hydrolysed guar gum, vanillin, sodium saccharin, silicon dioxide, cream flavouring, vanilla flavouring; colouring: beta-carotene.
How to use
The contents of one sachet should be dissolved in 100 ml of water. To obtain a homogeneous suspension, pour the powder into a glass, add water, and stir vigorously with a teaspoon. It is recommended to take it between meals.
Recommended dose for the first three days. Children 2 years and older: up to 4 sachets per day.
Adults: up to 6 sachets per day.
Subsequently, continue with half the dosage until the diarrhea is completely resolved. Catidral Plus should be used for no more than 5 consecutive days. If symptoms persist, consult your doctor.
Warnings
Keep out of reach of children.
The high adsorbent power of diosmectite may interfere with the gastrointestinal absorption of some orally administered drugs, therefore any other oral therapies should be taken separately from Catidral plus.
Catidral plus should not be administered to subjects suffering from chronic constipation or constipation.
If administered to diabetics or those on special diets, please note that Catridral plus contains sugars.

Do not use after the expiration date.
Conservation
Store at room temperature, avoiding exposure to light and heat, excessive humidity, and contact with water.
The expiry date refers to the product in its intact packaging, stored correctly.
