What is it and what is it for?
CERULISINA is a solution used to eliminate earwax or epidermal plugs (earwax and flaky skin) that form in the ear canal, even after ear surgery, which often cause significant discomfort, such as hearing loss, ringing in the ears, dizziness, sometimes accompanied by headaches and earaches.
This medicine works by combining the emollient action of sweet almond oil, which softens the earwax blockage, and the solvent action of dimethylbenzene, which dissolves it.
Talk to your doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse after a short time of treatment.
What you need to know before taking the medicine
Do not use CERULISINA if:
• is allergic to dimethylbenzene or sweet almond oil.
• has middle ear diseases such as inflammation (otitis) or a perforated eardrum.
Warnings and precautions
There are no special precautions for the use of CERULISINA. If you are unsure, talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine.
During treatment with CERULISINA, especially if prolonged, you may notice itching and/or redness (sensitization phenomena). If this occurs, discontinue treatment and consult your doctor.
Possible side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Prolonged use of CERULISINA may cause redness and itching (sensitization phenomena).
If this happens, stop treatment and consult your doctor.
