What is it and what is it used for?
ENEMAC® contains the active ingredients monosodium phosphate monohydrate and disodium phosphate heptahydrate and belongs to the class of medicines used to facilitate the elimination of stool (intestinal evacuant).
ENEMAC® is indicated for the treatment of constipation and to promote intestinal evacuation before radiological examinations or other diagnostic tests.

What you need to know before taking the medicine
Do not use ENEMAC®
- if you are allergic to monosodium phosphate monohydrate, disodium phosphate heptahydrate or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).
- In case of abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting.
- In case of ano-rectal pathologies.


Warnings and precautions
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using ENEMAC®.

- Administer ENEMAC® to children under two years of age only after consulting your doctor and evaluating the risk/benefit ratio. Consult your doctor if constipation persists.
- If you use laxatives for a long time you may experience addiction or various types of damage.
- If you use laxatives for a long time you may experience dehydration.
- Use ENEMAC only for occasional administration.
- If you suffer from celiac disease, you can take this medicine without risks.


Possible side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Prolonged use may cause dehydration. This side effect is usually temporary. However, if it occurs, it is advisable to consult a doctor or pharmacist.
