What is it and what is it for?
EUCLORINA contains the active ingredient chloramine, which belongs to a class of medicines known as antiseptics and disinfectants. These medicines work by slowing or preventing the growth of bacteria.
EUCLORINA 2.5 g soluble powder is used for washes and compresses in:
• skin disinfection and dressing of small superficial wounds, abrasions, minor bedsores (skin lesions affecting parts of the body subjected to pressure for prolonged periods).
• disinfection of the external genitals.

What you need to know before taking the medicine
Do not use EUCLORINA
- if you are allergic to chloramine, similar substances or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).
Warnings and precautions
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking EUCLORINA.
Do not swallow. This medicine is for external use only.
Accidental ingestion or inhalation of some disinfectants can have serious, sometimes fatal, consequences.
Use of topical products, especially if prolonged, may cause sensitization (an excessive reaction of the body to foreign substances it has come into contact with). In this case, discontinue use and consult your doctor to establish appropriate therapy. Do not use for prolonged treatments; after a short period of treatment without noticeable results, consult your doctor.
Possible side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
In some cases, intolerance (burning or irritation) may occur, which does not require treatment modification as these side effects are generally transient. However, if they occur, it is advisable to consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Following the instructions in the package leaflet reduces the risk of side effects.
