Descriptive sheet FOMENTIL
Tablets for fumigations
Description
CE Class I Medical Device. Non-sterile.
Administered by inhalation in the form of fumigations. Its action is useful for clearing the airways in conditions such as sore throats, colds, acute or chronic irritation, and in the presence of mucosal hypersecretion. The product should therefore be used as an adjunct to all treatments aimed at restoring airway function.
Fomentil helps clear the airways, promotes protection of the nasal and oropharyngeal mucosa, and thins and removes catarrhal secretions, which are subsequently expelled through the physiological mechanism of coughing. The water vapor generated by the steam inhalation, in the presence of menthol and eucalyptus, helps decongest the airways, providing relief from conditions such as colds, coughs, sinusitis, bronchitis, and respiratory inflammation.
How to use
Dissolve 1-2 tablets in about half a liter of boiling water and inhale the vapors for 3-4 minutes, collecting them with a special vapor inhaler or with your hands. Repeat this procedure 3-4 times a day.
The water must be boiling for the tablet to dissolve completely. Break the tablets to facilitate their dissolution.
Do not cover your head with a cloth while inhaling and be careful to keep your face at a distance of about 40 cm to prevent the hot water vapor from irritating your skin.
For children over 30 months: Place a basin of boiling water near the child's bed and dissolve 3-4 tablets, one at a time. The steam treatment should not last longer than 3 days.
