Ictammolo AFOM 10% ointment


What is it and what is it used for?
ICTAMMOLO AFOM is a medicine that contains sulphur.

ICTAMMOLO AFOM is indicated to treat:
- inflammation and minor skin infections;
- pimples (furunculosis), abscesses, and superficial skin ulcers;
- inflammation of the sweat glands (hidradenitis).

Talk to your doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse after a few days of treatment.


What you need to know before taking the medicine
Do not use ICTAMMOLO AFOM:
-if you are allergic to ammonium sulfoichthyolate or any of the other ingredients of this medicine listed in section 6


Warnings and precautions
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using ICTAMMOLO AFOM.

Do not apply the medicine near the eyes or on mucous membranes.
Avoid exposure to sun and UVA rays after application.
Use of topical medications, especially if prolonged, can cause irritation or sensitization. If this happens, discontinue use and contact your doctor who can prescribe the most appropriate treatment.

Do not use ICTAMMOLO AFOM with acids, alkalis, alkaloids and iron salts.


Possible side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
The following are the side effects of ICTAMMOLO AFOM:

Frequency not known (frequency cannot be estimated from the available data):
- inflammation of the skin (dermatitis);
- burning and skin irritation;
- hypersensitivity reactions.

Following the instructions in the package leaflet reduces the risk of side effects.
