What is it and what is it for?
Lenil antipruritus is an antihistamine for topical use

Lenil antipruritus is a medicine for the local symptomatic treatment of insect bites and other localized skin irritations such as redness, burning, itching and sunburn.


What you need to know before taking the medicine
Lenil antipruritic is contraindicated in case of:
Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients or to other chemically related substances;
eczema;
secreting lesions.
Lenil antipruritic is contraindicated in children under 2 years of age.


Warnings and precautions
Prolonged and inappropriate use of the medicine may cause allergic sensitization, resulting in worsening symptoms. If this occurs, discontinue treatment and consult your doctor to initiate appropriate therapy.
Since the application of Lenil antipruritic can delay the healing process, the medicine should not be used for more than 3-4 consecutive days on lesions affected by this phenomenon. In the case of sunburn, apply the medicine and avoid further exposure of the irritated skin to the sun. If a rash, irritation, or burning sensation occurs, treatment should be discontinued.


Possible side effects
Like all medicines, Lenil antipruritic can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Lenil antipruritic may cause allergic reactions. The use of promethazine has been associated with photosensitivity reactions.
Applying too much of the medicine to large areas of skin may cause drowsiness.
