Description
LICOSER plus
Food supplement based on serenoa repens, lycopene, camellia sinensis, and urtica dioica; helps maintain the physiological properties of the prostate gland. It contains no gluten or sugars.
Serenoa Repens (synonym of Sabal Serrulata)
A plant widespread in the United States, Southern Europe, and North Africa. Its main chemical constituents are various sterols, free fatty acids, carotenoids, essential oils, and polysaccharides.
Useful for the proper functioning of the urinary tract and prostate.
Lycopene
A natural pigment belonging to the carotenoid class, it has antioxidant properties similar to those of beta-carotene, but is much more powerful and therefore much more effective at preventing damage from oxygen free radicals. Lycopene is naturally present in tomatoes and other plant substances; with high antioxidant activity, it is considered the most powerful free radical scavenger of the carotenoids.
Urtica Dioica
A perennial herbaceous plant native to Western Asia, widespread throughout temperate regions, including Italy. In modern herbal medicine, the root plays a key role, as it is rich in phytosterols (α-sitosterol, daucosterol, and related glucosides), with a mechanism of action similar to that of Saw Palmetto. It also contains lecithins (scopoletin), which inhibit EGF (Epidermal Growth Factor), a cell growth factor capable of reducing symptoms and partially reducing the size of the gland. Therefore, Urtica Dioica root extract is particularly beneficial for limiting the growth of prostatic tissue induced by androgens, particularly dihydrotestosterone.
Green tea
It is obtained from the leaf buds and young leaves of the plant known by the scientific name "Camellia sinensis." This plant's unique characteristic is its high antioxidant potential.
