It takes about 20 minutes for alcohol to be absorbed into the bloodstream from the digestive system; therefore, it is recommended to take the measurement 20 minutes after consuming alcoholic beverages. If the measurement is taken immediately after drinking, the results may reflect the alcohol concentration in the beverage and not the actual concentration in the blood.
- To obtain more accurate measurement results, the interval between two consecutive measurements should be greater than 3 minutes.
