Naaxia 49 mg/ml eye drops, solution



What is it and what is it for?
It is an eye drop solution.
It is used to treat mild cases of allergic conjunctivitis and keratoconjunctivitis, both acute and chronic. Spring conjunctivitis.


What you need to know before taking the medicine
Do not use Naaxia if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to spaglumic acid sodium salt or any of the other ingredients of Naaxia.


Warnings and precautions
There are no clinical studies yet available regarding the use of the product in children under four years of age, therefore Naaxia preservative-free eye drops solution should only be administered after careful evaluation by the doctor of both the potential risks and the benefits deriving from the therapy.
It is recommended not to inject or ingest the product.
In severe conjunctival allergies, antiallergic eye drops based on N-acetyl aspartyl glutamic acid can be administered as a replacement for initial therapy with cortisone.
Like other ophthalmic specialties for topical use, Naaxia eye drops preservative-free solution can be absorbed systemically.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine.
No clinical studies have been conducted in women who are pregnant or suspected to be pregnant. Therefore, the product should be prescribed only after a careful evaluation by a physician of both the potential risks and benefits of treatment. There are no data on the passage of the active ingredient into breast milk; breastfeeding is not recommended during treatment.


Possible side effects
Like all medicines, Naaxia eye drops preservative-free solution can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Occasionally, the patient may experience a slight burning sensation following instillation; this sensation is short-lived and usually disappears as therapy continues. A stinging sensation may occur after instillation.
Following the instructions in the package leaflet reduces the risk of side effects.
