Descriptive sheet NEPROST
Description
Neprost is a medical device based on plant extracts useful as an adjuvant in treatments aimed at maintaining the properties of the prostate gland or known for their beneficial effects on urinary tract function. It may have a beneficial effect on inflammatory conditions of the prostate and actinic proctitis (induced by radiotherapy) or other causes. The product is suitable for short-term use for constipation and hemorrhoidal congestion through its soothing effect.
How to use
We recommend one suppository per day, preferably in the evening before bed. For optimal effectiveness, it is recommended to apply the suppository correctly, ensuring it is inserted correctly into the deepest part of the rectal vial.
Neprost suppositories may reduce the time they remain in the intestine, and consequently also the absorption of other medications taken orally at the same time; it is therefore recommended that after taking an oral medication, you wait at least 2 hours before taking Neprost.
Components
Lactoferrin, Glycerophosphoinositol, Hyaluronic acid.
Warnings
Avoid taking Neprost when using other devices or medicinal products as much as possible.
In any case, consult your doctor before taking Neprost if you are currently undergoing drug therapy.
No known short- or medium-/long-term side effects have been reported. Neprost does not adversely affect sensory abilities (level of attention, ability to drive or perform activities). However, if you experience any side effects such as excessive irritation, pain, or any discomfort that may appear related to the use of the medical device, discontinue use immediately and consult your doctor.
The non-uniform dark color that the suppository may present is a characteristic of the product and does not indicate a deterioration in its effectiveness or poor storage.
Keep out of reach of children.
Do not use after the expiry date shown on the package and blister.
Neprost is not sterile; however, it is recommended not to use suppositories if the primary packaging (blister) is damaged.
Each suppository is for single use only and must be removed from the package only immediately before use: do not use suppositories that have been broken or removed from the blister at an unknown time, as this method of use could lead to risks of product contamination.
Do not attempt to reuse suppositories that have accidentally leaked after the first attempt at use.
Do not exceed the recommended dose.
If the medical device is ineffective after correct use according to the recommended dosage, discontinue use and contact your doctor.
Laxative abuse, especially contact laxatives (stimulant laxatives), can cause dependence, chronic constipation, and loss of normal bowel function (intestinal atony). Persistent diarrhea can cause loss of water, minerals (especially potassium), and other essential nutrients. In more severe cases of abuse, dehydration or hypokalemia may develop, which can lead to cardiac or neuromuscular dysfunction, especially when concomitantly treated with cardiac glycosides, diuretics, or corticosteroids.
Do not use under 12 years of age.
Taking Neprost is not recommended in case of known hypersensitivity of the user to one of the components.
Also do not use in case of:
- acute or unknown abdominal pain;
- nausea or vomiting;
- intestinal obstruction or stenosis;
- rectal bleeding of unknown origin;
- acute hemorrhoidal crisis with pain and bleeding;
- severe state of dehydration.
Neprost can be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding, but only in cases of real need and only after consulting your doctor.
Elderly or unhealthy individuals should consult their doctor before using Nepros.
