SIFRAVIT

Description
A product obtained by mixing a high-purity silicone gel with vitamin E in an appropriate concentration. This blend has a synergistic effect in the reshaping of hypertrophic scars and keloids of any nature. In fact, silicone sheets and vitamin E are individually known to reduce the appearance of scars and accelerate the healing process. The former has a predominantly occlusive effect, altering the water concentration in the interstitial space; the latter (vitamin E or alpha-tocopheryl acetate) has an antioxidant effect and disaggregates collagen fiber bundles. The combination of the two components allows vitamin E to become bioavailable in the skin layers where its action is needed, through a slow and steady release mechanism, enabled by the occlusive and permeating action of the silicone gel. This results in an enhanced remodeling effect, which can be observed on both fresh and old scars by applying the compound in direct contact with the scar for an adequate period of time.

How to use
Open the bag carefully to avoid damaging the contents.
1. Gel preparation:
- should only be used once healing has taken place;
- It can be used whole or cut with ordinary scissors, keeping in mind that it must extend at least 1 cm beyond the lesion being treated. The remaining product can be kept intact in the appropriate container and used later;
- cut a strip of SIFRAVIT approximately 1 cm longer and wider than the skin area to be treated.
2. Skin preparation
Wash the skin to be treated with water and mild soap, rinse, and dry it before applying SIFRAVIT, thus avoiding the lingering of soap particles or foreign matter. For fresh wounds where some crusting or flaking skin particles still remain, a mild disinfectant can be used, but it is still advisable to always rinse with a sterile saline solution to avoid the lingering of substances that could cause intolerance. If the skin is very oily, ether or acetone can be used to remove excess sebum and promote perfect adhesion between the plaque and skin.
3. Application of SIFRAVIT
- The side of SIFRAVIT furthest from the mesh it contains and visible through transparency should be applied to the skin.
- Apply the plaque for 10-12 hours during the first week, regardless of whether it is during the day or at night.
- The application time can then be gradually increased up to 18-24 hours a day, taking care to allow the skin to breathe periodically (based on the intensity of sweating, body temperature and environmental temperature).
In case of continuous use, it is good practice to alternate two SIFRAVIT plates in 24 hours to regenerate the product's electrical charge.
4. Maintenance during application
SIFRAVIT must adhere perfectly to the area to be treated and, when possible, be subjected to a level of mechanical pressure that is tolerable for the patient. Depending on the delicate nature of the patient's skin, the following may be indicated: elastic mesh, hypoallergenic plaster, elastic-adhesive material in the form of a bandage, polyurethane foam, or a simple cotton bandage. If stable, SIFRAVIT can be applied directly under normal clothing, possibly protected by gauze.
5. Storage of SIFRAVIT
After each application, SIFRAVIT should be washed in running water at room temperature, dried delicately with soft towels and placed in its own tray covered with plastic, in the dark (in a drawer) at room temperature or preferably in the refrigerator (not freezer).
6. Skin treatment after removal of SIFRAVIT
After SIFRAVIT is removed, the skin becomes particularly soft and supple. Unless necessary, it is not necessary to wash it immediately, to prevent the vitamin molecules that impregnate the upper layers from being removed. It is, however, advisable to ventilate the treated area to allow normal breathing.
7. Duration of SIFRAVIT
Used 12 to 18 hours a day, it lasts for 4 weeks. In areas subject to friction or disintegration, the lamina may appear worn or fractured: this does not compromise the effectiveness of the treatment in any way.
