Description Medical Device CE Class: I.
The Esteem synergy flat plate with Moldable Technology is made up of a central trilaminar adhesive disc composed of:
- a top layer in Durahesive Technology
- an intermediate layer of polyethylene film
- a layer in contact with the skin in Stomahesive Technology.
The support ring is surrounded by a flexible microporous adhesive plaster entirely coated with a thin layer of hydrocolloid in contact with the skin. Thanks to the exclusive Moldable Technology, the skin barrier adhesive adapts to the shape and size of the stoma simply by shaping the adhesive with your fingers, without the need for scissors. Furthermore, thanks to the exclusive ACT (Adhesive Coupling Technology), the baseplate and collection bag are attached via an adhesive mechanism. This system simultaneously guarantees: a secure seal; skin protection; ease of use; atraumatic application and removal; an airtight seal against liquid leaks and odors; and, finally, flexibility and discretion.
Technical features - The moldable adhesive, thanks to Rebounding Moldable Technology, delicately embraces the contours of the stoma, adapting to it in a safe and personalized way and minimizing the risk of infiltrations.
- The top layer in Durahesive Technology; when it comes into contact with wastewater, it swells, absorbing moisture and forming a characteristic collar (“turtle neck effect”) around the stoma, protecting it from contact with wastewater and prolonging the time the device remains in situ.
- The layer in contact with the skin in Stomahesive Technology; ensures high skin protection.
- The extremely thin profile of the hydrocolloid patch makes this device particularly suitable for patients with an irregular abdominal profile or a globular abdomen, ensuring maximum comfort and freedom of movement.
Preparing the skin barrier is quick and easy, especially for patients with irregular stomas and limited dexterity, and does not require the use of measuring tapes or scissors. The skin barrier is waterproof and can be worn even while bathing or showering. Furthermore, the ACT adhesive fastening technology, eliminating the need for a rigid plastic flange, offers patients the best combination of the advantages of traditional one-piece and two-piece systems: maximum skin protection in the peristomal area, maximum seal against leakage, maximum comfort, flexibility, and discretion.
Skin barrier with Moldable Technology, with a trilaminar central disc (upper in Durahesive Technology, intermediate in polyethylene film, lower in Stomahesive Technology) and a flexible hydrocolloid plaster made of breathable (microporous) polyester on which there is a hydrocolloid adhesive.
A transparent plastic film is welded to the outside of the plates, which forms the adhesion base for the collection bag. This film floats above the rest of the plate to ensure a smooth adhesion surface even in the presence of irregular abdomens.
Each plate is individually packaged in a shaped blister pack.
