Description
Symptomatic treatment of constipation. Powder for oral solution. Acts within 24-72 hours. Macrogol is an inert, high-molecular-weight, water-soluble polymer that binds to the water used for ingestion, retaining it in the stool. It rehydrates and softens the stool, facilitating evacuation. It accelerates intestinal transit by promoting peristalsis, countering constipation and preventing fecal impaction. It is not absorbed or metabolized in the gastrointestinal tract and does not cause fluid or electrolyte imbalances when taken with the indicated dose of liquid.

How to use
Use the measuring cup included in the package to measure the powder: fill it level and not pressed, then remove the excess product with the blade of a knife.
-Adults and children over 12 years old:
2 to 10 level scoops daily. The dose should be increased or decreased depending on individual response to treatment, to allow for regular, soft stools. The maximum required dose does not normally exceed 10 scoops daily. Dissolve the powder in water or other liquid (50 ml per scoop) and take immediately. It is recommended to take the product in the morning if the minimum dose (2 scoops daily) is required. For larger doses, divide the dose between morning and evening. If no improvement is noted after 7 days of treatment, consult your doctor.
-Children aged between 6 months and 12 years:
From 6 to 10 kg: 1 level scoop per day;
From 10 to 15 kg: 1-2 level scoops per day;
From 16 to 20 kg: 2-3 level scoops per day;
21 to 43 kg: 3-4 level scoops per day.

It is recommended to administer the product in the morning if one scoop per day is required. For larger doses, divide the dose between morning and evening. If no improvement is noted after 7 days of treatment, consult your doctor.

Warnings
Keep out of reach of children. It is recommended that this product be used by children after consulting a doctor. Administration to children should be carried out under the direct supervision of an adult. Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package. Do not use if the package is opened or damaged. The product may reduce the intestinal residence time and therefore the absorption of oral medications. It is therefore advisable to consult a doctor if taking oral medications at the same time, which must, in any case, be administered at least 2 hours apart. If adverse reactions occur, discontinue treatment and consult a doctor. Do not take if:
-Known hypersensitivity to one or more components;
-Paralytic ileus;
-Intestinal perforation, obstruction or stenosis;
-Severe inflammatory bowel diseases (e.g., ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, toxic megacolon). Laxative use is contraindicated in patients with acute or unknown abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting, rectal bleeding of unknown origin, or severe dehydration.
Some gastrointestinal symptoms (stomach ache, flatulence, bloating, nausea, and fecal incontinence) may occur. Diarrhea is a secondary effect of taking excessive doses of the product and can be avoided by reducing the dose. Rare cases of hypersensitivity reactions (skin rash) have been reported following the use of products containing macrogol. If this occurs, discontinue use and consult your doctor.

Conservation
Store in a cool, dry place, away from light and heat sources. Close the container tightly after use. The expiration date refers to the product when stored properly.
Shelf life of intact packaging: 36 months.
