Descriptive sheet Reonat
Description
Food supplement based on fermented soy extract containing NSK-SD nattokinase, a natural fibrinolytic and antithrombotic enzyme with plasmin-like activity.
Fermented soy extract comes in the form of an odorless, milky-white powder. It consists of 30% fermented soy extract powder and 70% resistant dextrin (as a carrier) derived from corn starch, which is added during processing. Vitamin K2 is removed during the manufacturing process. Fermented soy extract contains nattokinase isolated from natto, a food produced by fermenting non-genetically modified soybeans (Glicine max L.) with a selected strain of Bacillus subtilis var. natto. Nattokinase activity: 20,000–28,000 FU/g (fibrin degradation units, assay method described in Takaoka et al.).
Nattokinase is an enzyme found in the Japanese food natto. During the extraction and purification process, the Vitamin K2 present in natto is completely removed to ensure greater safety. Nattokinase is a serine protease consisting of a residue of 275 amino acids, has a molecular weight of 275 Daltons, appears as an odorless, milky-white powder, and has a fibrinolytic activity equal to 2,000 Fibrinolytic Units (FU) per 100 mg of active ingredient. The recommended dosage is 100 mg per day, equivalent to 2,000. FU nattokinase NSK-SD is listed by the JHFA (Japan Health and Nutrition Food Association) and JNKA (Japan Nattokinase Association), guaranteeing the authenticity and compliance of the active ingredient. Nattokinase NSK-SD is produced using non-genetically modified soybeans, fermented by a strain of Bacillus subtilis var. natto covered by an international patent, owned by JBSL (Japan Bio Science Laboratory).
Nattokinase is characterized by its ability to alter the rheological properties of blood; it improves blood flow by reducing viscosity. Its action is achieved by inhibiting red blood cell aggregation, inhibiting platelet aggregation, and enhancing fibrinolytic and thrombolytic activity. At the recommended dosage, nattokinase reduces the concentration of coagulation factors to the physiological minimum without interfering with wound hemostatic processes. Nattokinase also has antihypertensive activity and can reduce the concentration of C-reactive protein (CRP), a known risk factor for cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.
Reonat can be used as an adjuvant when there is a reduced intake or increased use of its constituents, which occurs mainly in the course of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, peripheral arterial disease, deep vein thrombosis and in all conditions in which it is desired to reduce blood viscosity.
