Descriptive sheet Conveen Bed Bag
Description
The Conveen Bed Bag is a bed bag that can be used for at least four days to collect urine. This bag is recommended for men with urinary incontinence (capacity 2,000 ml). The bag is designed for connection to sheaths and can also be connected to a leg bag or a urinary catheter. The bag is particularly suitable for collecting urine in bedridden patients and/or for collecting urine at night. Two perforations on the top allow the bag to be easily attached to a plastic handle for hanging on the bed.
The bag has a capacity of 2,000 ml and is equipped with a non-reflux valve that prevents urine from flowing back. It has a drain valve on the bottom for emptying urine, which can be operated with one hand and can be opened and closed multiple times without losing its functionality. The valve is opened by moving the lever downward 45° and applying lateral pressure on the tap lever to allow urine to flow; these two opening actions ensure maximum safety against leaks. Once the bag is emptied, the tap is closed by returning the lever to its vertical position. It is equipped with a 140 cm long connecting tube, made of a special, very robust corrugated material, which absolutely prevents kinking and consequent constriction of the tube, which would block flow. The tube can be shortened so that the patient can choose the most comfortable length. It is triple-welded for strength. The materials the bag is made of are very robust and allow it to be used, after rinsing, for at least four days.
Not sterile.
Components
The Conveen Bed Bag is made of two high-frequency welded films; the front film is made of three layers of polyethylene, polyamide, and polyethylene. A graduated scale in ml is printed on the front wall to accurately measure the volume of urine collected. The back film is made of three layers of polyethylene, polyamide, and polyethylene and is gray.
The connecting tube is made of polyethylene and vinyl acetate and has a diameter of approximately 5 mm. The tube is connected to the bag by a gray polyethylene valve.
The tube ends with a white polypropylene connector for attachment to catheters or sheaths. The connector is closed with a gray polyethylene cap.
The drain valve at the bottom is made of polypropylene, polyethylene, SEBS and silicone.
