Description
SenSura Mio Convex for urostomy with liner and drain tap, is a one-piece bag indicated for urine collection.
Thanks to Bodyfit Technology, SenSura Mio devices feature an elastic adhesive that allows them to adapt perfectly to skin irregularities, offering instant high adhesion for as long as necessary, safety during use and intact skin upon removal.
The adhesive consists of two layers:
- the innermost layer has a special mesh structure, incorporating small hydrocolloids: upon contact with waste, it transforms into a cohesive and compact gel, highly resistant to erosion. This creates a protective seal that reduces the risk of leaks while maintaining the correct skin moisture level, promoting tissue repair;
- in the outermost and thinnest layer, the elastic capacity of the adhesive allows this layer to adapt perfectly to the irregularities of the skin, offering high instant adhesion and consequent safety in use.
The SenSura Mio Convex plate features an innovative mesh inside the shell that ensures stability and flexibility without any compromise or loss of performance from either element, suitable for people with a concave abdominal shape. The mesh has been designed to move and adapt to all abdominal shapes.
It is also equipped with 4 belt hooks.
It has two different levels of convexity:
- Convex Deep plate: features a 9 mm convexity to better manage areas with greater convexity and sunken stoma; - Convex Light plate: features a 6 mm convexity to manage areas that require convexity but not with significant curvature. It guarantees the right stability to allow the stoma to protrude into the skin;
- Convex Soft plate: features a 6 mm convexity characterized by a particularly soft and adaptable mesh in the shell. It ensures the management of those irregular areas or those that continue to experience leakage from the stoma. The greater thickness of this plate compared to a flat plate, but the lack of rigidity of the device, guarantees optimal equipment in all cases where the problem of leakage must be resolved.
It is available both in a version that can be cut to the desired size (following the guide printed on the protective mask of the adhesive surface) and in a pre-cut version.
The SenSura Mio range has a turquoise adhesive removal tab for easy visibility, and a thumb-shaped grip.
There is also a simple cutting guide: the cutting circles are soft, there are different cutting sizes with strong contrasts for users with limited vision, and the circles do not intersect.
The bag
The open-bottom bag features a retractable, resealable tap made of soft material that allows it to be connected to most leg and bed collection devices. It can be closed and positioned underneath the retractable pocket for greater discretion and safety.
The bag also features innovative "Multichamber" technology, which reduces urine noise by distributing urine into five separate chambers, making it less bulky. It also features a non-reflux valve.
The lined pouch allows for complete discretion of the contents. It is entirely lined with water-repellent Ökotex fabric and features an inspection window on the back for careful monitoring of the stoma and discharge.
