Active ingredients
One 38 cm collar (12.5 g) contains 1.25 g imidacloprid and 0.56 g flumethrin as active ingredients. For a full list of excipients, see section 6.1.
Directions
Cats: For the treatment and prevention of flea infestations (Ctenocephalides felis) for 7-8 months. It protects the animal's environment from developing flea larvae for 10 weeks. Seresto can be used as part of a treatment strategy for the control of Flea Allergy Dermatitis (FAD). The product has persistent acaricidal (killing) efficacy (Ixodes ricinus, Rhipicephalus turanicus) and repellent (anti-feeding) efficacy against tick infestations (Ixodes ricinus) for 8 months. The product is effective against larvae, nymphs, and adult ticks. Ticks already present on the cat before treatment may not be killed within 48 hours of application of the collar and may remain attached and visible. It is therefore recommended to remove ticks already present on the cat at the time of application. Prevention of new tick infestations begins within two days after application of the collar.
Dosage
For skin use. A collar should be applied around the animal's neck. For cats, use a 38 cm collar. For external use only. Remove the collar from the protective bag just before use. Unroll the collar and ensure there are no loose plastic connectors inside the collar. Adjust the collar around the animal's neck without overtightening (as a guide, you should be able to fit two fingers between the collar and the animal's neck). Slide the excess collar through the loop and trim any excess length exceeding 2 cm. The collar should be worn continuously for a protective period of 8 months and should be removed after the treatment period. Check periodically and adjust the fit if necessary, especially when kittens are growing rapidly. This collar is equipped with a safety locking mechanism. In the very rare event of a cat becoming entangled, the animal's strength is usually sufficient to loosen the collar, allowing it to free itself quickly.
