Directions For the treatment and prevention of flea infestations (Ctenocephalides felis, C. canis) for 7-8 months. Protects the animal's environment from developing flea larvae for 8 months. Seresto can be used as part of a treatment strategy for the control of Flea Allergy Dermatitis (FAD). The product has persistent acaricidal (killing) efficacy against tick infestations (Ixodes ricinus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus, Dermacentor reticulatus) and repellent (anti-feeding) efficacy against tick infestations (Ixodes ricinus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus) for 8 months. The product is effective against larvae, nymphs, and adult ticks. Ticks already present on the dog before treatment may not be killed within 48 hours of application of the collar and may remain attached and visible. It is therefore recommended to remove any ticks already present on the dog at the time of application. Prevention of new tick infestations begins within two days after application of the collar. The product provides indirect protection against the transmission of the pathogens Babesia canis vogeli and Ehrlichia canis by the tick vector Rhipicephalus sanguineus, thus reducing the risk of canine babesiosis and canine ehrlichiosis for 7 months. Reduction of the risk of Leishmania infantum infection through transmission by sandflies for up to 8 months. For the treatment of infestations by biting/chewing lice (Trichodectes canis).
Dosage For external use. A suitable collar should be applied around the neck. For dogs over 8 kg, use a 70 cm collar. For small dogs up to 8 kg, use a 38 cm collar for dogs <= 8 kg. For external use only. Remove the collar from the protective bag just before use. Unroll the collar and ensure there are no loose plastic connectors inside the collar. Adjust the collar around the animal's neck without overtightening (as a guide, you should be able to fit two fingers between the collar and the animal's neck). Slide the excess collar through the loop and trim any excess length exceeding 2 cm.

The collar must be worn continuously for a protective period of 8 months and should be removed after the treatment period. Check periodically and adjust the fit if necessary, especially when puppies are growing rapidly. This collar is equipped with a safety locking mechanism. In the extremely rare event that a dog becomes entangled, the animal's own strength is usually sufficient to loosen the collar, allowing it to quickly free itself.
