What is it and what is it used for?
SOMATOLINE is a dermatological product with anti-cellulite properties. SOMATOLINE is used for localized adiposity accompanied by cellulite. Consult your doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse after a short period of treatment.
What you need to know before taking the medicine
Do not use SOMATOLINE
- if you are allergic to the active substances levothyroxine and escin or to any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).
- Iodine intolerance.
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding (see PREGNANCY AND BREASTFEEDING).
Warnings and precautions
There are no special precautions to take before using SOMATOLINE. Use of skin products, especially if prolonged, may cause sensitization and lead to side effects. If this occurs, discontinue use and consult your doctor. Avoid using the product near mucous membranes. It is also advisable to consult your doctor if you have experienced any problems in the past. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using SOMATOLINE.
Children and adolescents
Do not use in children and adolescents.
Possible side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody experiences them. No specific side effects are known to be attributable to treatment. Very rarely, cases with symptoms attributable to altered thyroid function have been reported. Following the instructions in the package leaflet reduces the risk of side effects. These side effects are generally transient.
