What is it and what is it used for?
Tocalfa soft capsules belong to the therapeutic category of vitamin supplements based on vitamins A + E.
This medicine is used in conditions of vitamin A+E deficiency.

What you need to know before taking the medicine
Do not take Tocalfa
- If you are allergic to vitamin A and/or vitamin E or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).
- If you are pregnant (see "Pregnancy and breast-feeding").
Warnings and precautions
Talk to your doctor before taking Tocalfa if any of the following applies to you:
- You have heart problems (heart failure); because your digitalis dose (a medicine used to treat heart failure) may need to be adjusted.
- You have high blood glucose levels (diabetes), because your insulin dose (a medicine used to treat diabetes) may need to be adjusted.
Possible side effects
Like all medicines, this one can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
In case of continuous administration and at high doses, signs and symptoms of hypervitaminosis A may appear such as:
• eating disorders (anorexia)
• skin disorders
• enlargement of the liver and spleen (hepatosplenomegaly)
