Descriptive sheet KERATO VitA
Ophthalmic ointment
Description
Preservative-free ophthalmic ointment containing, in addition to dexpanthenol, also vitamin A and vitamin E.
It is used for long-term improvement of the tear film and for intensive protection of the ocular surface. Its cellular protective properties allow normal re-epithelialization when this is compromised by dryness.
Thanks to its high viscosity properties, Kerato VitA ophthalmic ointment coats the surface of the eye like a film, stabilizes the tear film and protects the eye from dryness.
Thanks to its very soft and elastic consistency, Kerato VitA spreads very well over the ocular surface. The eyelids glide easily over the cornea and conjunctiva.
Kerato VitA provides long-lasting relief from the symptoms of dryness, inflammation and mild irritation, in particular:
- for dry eyes;
- in environmental stress;
- in case of fatigue and visual stress caused by prolonged viewing;
- in case of mechanical stress.
How to use
Wash your hands thoroughly each time before using Kerato VitA.
Before first use, break the safety seal by opening the screw cap of the protective cap counterclockwise and remove the safety seal film before use.
Hold the tube as vertically as possible, with the opening facing down, above the eye. Avoid any contact of the tube tip with your fingers or the eye.
Now tilt your head back slightly and gently pull down your lower eyelid with your free hand. Press lightly on the tube and apply about 0.5 cm of ointment to the conjunctival sac of the affected eye. Close your eyes slowly and move them in all directions so that Kerato VitA can spread evenly over the surface of your eyes. After use, replace the protective cap on the tube.
Be careful not to touch the tip of the tube. Avoid bending or rolling the tube to avoid damaging it.
Kerato VitA is generally used 3 times daily for long-term improvement of the tear film and intensive protection of the ocular surface.
It is recommended to apply the ointment, preferably in the evening before bed, so that it can have an intensive and long-lasting effect on irritated eyes. Application should be continued for at least 30 days.
Your eye doctor should determine the frequency and duration of application. If symptoms persist after this period, contact your eye doctor again.
If you're using any other topical eye treatment, consult your eye doctor. Generally, wait about 30 minutes between applications. Kerato VitA should be applied after other products.
