Name
Verunec 15 g + 15 g /100 g collodion
Salicylic acid + lactic acid
What is it and what is it for?
Verunec is a viscous solution (collodion) applied to the skin containing the active ingredients salicylic acid and lactic acid, which belong to the keratolytic category. Keratolytics work by softening hard, thickened skin (calluses) and promoting its removal.
Verunec is indicated to treat:
- common, plantar, and mosaic warts. A wart is a characteristic skin growth classified differently depending on where it appears and the virus responsible;
- calluses and corns (hard, thick bumps caused by pressure and friction on the skin).
Talk to your doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse after a short time of treatment.
What you need to know before taking the medicine
Do not use Verunec

• if you suffer from diabetes;
• if you suffer from blood circulation disorders;
• on the face and anogenital area, as is the case with all products with a high salicylic acid content due to its irritating effect.

Possible side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
If you happen to apply the medicine to the skin surrounding the hyperkeratotic growth (wart or callus), localized irritation may occur, which can be controlled by temporarily suspending application. When you resume treatment, be careful to apply the medicine only to the affected area.
Following the instructions in the package leaflet reduces the risk of side effects.
