Palmitoylethanolamide (PEA), a natural substance found in the human body and in many commonly consumed foods, also plays an important role in the innervated structures of the eye as a biological modulator of mast cell hyperdegranulation resulting from neuronal damage. This function consequently provides neuroprotection by physiologically counteracting the onset and progression of neurodegenerative phenomena associated with numerous pathological conditions, such as ocular hypertension, metabolic or degenerative optic neuropathy (glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy), ophthalmic pain from refractive surgery, or trigeminal neuralgia. In such cases, it is useful to physiologically counteract, through the administration of the product, the deficit in endogenous production of palmitoylethanolamide that occurs when the body, subjected to recurrent neuroinflammatory conditions, exhausts its natural synthesis capacity.
How to use
To be used, under medical supervision, as a guideline: 1 sachet per day.
The contents of the sachet can be placed directly under the tongue as it dissolves easily with saliva and this allows it to be used without water.
Warnings
This product is not suitable as a sole source of nutrition. Keep out of reach of children under 3 years of age. Use during pregnancy is not recommended.
