Descriptive sheet Vit-A-Vision
Description
Preservative-free ophthalmic ointment containing, in addition to vitamin A, vitamin E, and dexpanthenol, petrolatum, viscous paraffin, lanolin, cetearyl alcohol, and purified water.
Vit-A-Vision is used for the long-lasting improvement of the tear film and for the intensive protection of the ocular surface. Its cellular protective properties allow for normal re-epithelialization when the surface is compressed by dryness.
Thanks to its very soft and elastic consistency, Vit-A-Vision spreads very well over the ocular surface. The ointment is characterized by its excellent tolerability, primarily due to its vitamin A content, which is a natural component of the tear film. Vit-A-Vision relieves symptoms such as burning, dryness, or tired eyes. The eyelids glide smoothly over the cornea and conjunctiva.
Dexpanthenol, which is converted to pantothenic acid in the body, is a B vitamin. Dexpanthenol increases water binding capacity, is well absorbed by the skin, and has healing properties.
Vit-A-Vision provides long-lasting relief from the symptoms of dryness, inflammation and mild irritation, particularly:
-in the presence of environmental stress, for example from air conditioning, wind or air pollution, for example from cigarette smoke;
-in case of fatigue and visual stress caused by prolonged viewing, for example on a computer screen, under a microscope or during long car journeys;
-under conditions of mechanical stress, such as those caused by wearing hard or soft contact lenses or by diagnostic procedures on the eye. Preservative-free.
How to use
Vit-A-Vision is typically applied three times a day for long-lasting improvement of the tear film and intensive protection of the ocular surface. It is especially recommended to apply the ointment in the evening, before bed, so that it can have an intensive and long-lasting effect on irritated eyes.
Unscrew the protective cap, tilt your head back slightly, and pull your lower eyelid away from your eye. Press lightly on the tube and apply about 0.5 cm of ointment into the conjunctival sac. Close your eyes slowly. Recap the tube tightly after use.
The application should continue for more than 30 days.
Warnings
After application, temporary blurring of vision may occur; in this case, do not drive vehicles or operate machinery and wait for normal visual acuity to return.
Do not use: in eye infections; in case of hypersensitivity to one of the components.
Contact your eye doctor if irritation and inflammation persist.
Vit-A-Vision should not be used while wearing contact lenses.
If you are using other eye preparations in addition to Vit-A-Vision, observe a sufficient interval of approximately 30 minutes between the application of Vit-A-Vision and that of the other eye preparations.
Do not touch your eye or facial skin with the tip of the tube, to avoid eye infections or injuries.
Avoid bending or rolling the tube, as this may damage it.
