What is it and what is it used for?
ZINCO OSSIDO SELLA contains the active ingredient zinc oxide which belongs to a group of protective emollient medicines, used to relieve skin irritation.
ZINC OXIDE SELLA relieves skin irritations, such as eczema, dermatitis and minor abrasions.
Contact your doctor if you notice no improvement or if you notice worsening of your symptoms after a few days of using the medicine.
What you need to know before taking the medicine
Do not use ZINC OXIDE SELLA
- if you are allergic to zinc oxide or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).
Warnings and precautions
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using ZINC OXIDE SELLA.
Use this medicine only on external parts of the body because it can be harmful if swallowed or comes into contact with the eyes. In case of accidental contact with the eyes, rinse thoroughly with water.
Do not apply ZINC OXIDE SELLA on burns or wounds that may be infected.
Avoid prolonged use of this medicine because it may cause irritation or allergic reactions. If this happens, stop treatment and consult your doctor who will prescribe appropriate treatment.
Children
If you use this medicine to soothe your baby's skin irritation (dermatitis) caused by diapers, check to see if the irritation improves within a few days. If the dermatitis persists, contact your doctor who will recommend an appropriate treatment for your baby.
Possible side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
The following side effects may occur:

- allergic or hypersensitivity reaction manifested by skin irritation (rash, hives), itching and/or swelling (especially of the face, throat and lips), tightness in the chest, difficulty breathing, burning, tingling and dark spots on the skin.
